چکیده

We show that the Graph Automorphism problem is ZPP-reducible to MKTP, the problem of minimizing time-bounded Kolmogorov complexity. MKTP has previously been studied in connection with the Minimum Circuit Size Problem (MCSP) and is often viewed as essentially a different encoding of MCSP. All prior reductions to MCSP have applied equally well to MKTP, and vice-versa, and all such reductions have relied on the fact that functions computable in polynomial time can be inverted with high probability relative to MCSP and MKTP. Our reduction uses a different approach, and consequently yields the first example of a problem in ZPP that is not known to lie in NP ∩ coNP. We also show that this approach can be used to provide a reduction of the Graph Isomorphism problem to MKTP.

Minimum Circuit Size, Graph Isomorphism, and Related Problems

We study the computational power of deciding whether a given truth-table can be described by a circuit of a given size (the Minimum Circuit Size Problem, or MCSP for short), and of the variant denoted as MKTP where circuit size is replaced by a polynomially-related Kolmogorov measure. All prior reductions from supposedly-intractable problems to MCSP / MKTP hinged on the power of MCSP / MKTP to ...

Zero Knowledge and Circuit Minimization

We show that every problem in the complexity class SZK (Statistical Zero Knowledge) is efficiently reducible to the Minimum Circuit Size Problem (MCSP). In particular Graph Isomorphism lies in RP. This is the first theorem relating the computational power of Graph Isomorphism and MCSP, despite the long history these problems share, as candidate NP-intermediate problems.

SubHunter: a high-performance and scalable sub-circuit recognition method with Prüfer-encoding

Sub-circuit recognition (SR) is a problem of recognizing sub-circuits within a given circuit and is a fundamental component in simulation, verification and testing of computeraided design. The SR problem can be formulated as subgraph isomorphism problem. Performance of previous works is not scalable as the complexities of modern designs increase. In this paper we propose a novel Prüfer-encoding...

FPGA Placement by Graph Isomorphism

FPGA placement and routing are still challenging problems. Given the increased diversity of logic and routing resources on FPGA chips, it seems appropriate to tackle the placement problem as a mapping between the nodes and edges in a circuit graph to compatible resources in the architecture graph. We explore utilizing graph isomorphism algorithms to perform FPGA placement. We use a hierarchical...

Applying Colored-Graph Isomorphism for Electrical Circuit Matching in Circuit Repository

In electrical engineering educational industrial applications it is often required for the students to build and analyze well-known circuits according to their syllabus. In this paper a colored graph isomorphism based model is discussed that is being developed to match two electrical circuits. The procedure involves two steps, first being, to store the circuit in the data base in form of a colo...
